Can't do without U

One afternoon, misery stuck at the household. A dear member fell ill and had to be hospitalized immediately. We were told it would take two days for complete recovery as some of the vital organs had to be transplanted. Every hour seemed difficult and two days were impossible to pass by. For the first time, we realized the value of absence. For the world, it might be “the IDIOT BOX” but few can deny that life is not the same without a TV. The mornings became unusually calm without the loud sound of prayers to wake up to. The afternoons became duller without the saas-bahu serials and my nights became especially lengthier without the crime stories or who-dunnit –mysteries. We pledged to take better care of it. We decided to save it from the remote-torture of the young and the elderly. Give the TV its due respect and give it an extravagant space that it truly deserves. With nagging calls to the Technician which at times became bullying and if the separation became longer possibility of threats were not far by, we managed to get back our good-not-so-old TV. A sigh of relief finally breathed into the home. And perhaps the happiness could match to the feeling of welcoming a very dear yet long lost relative way back. Sudden, life stuck its normal chord. Life without TV is indeed harder, especially if you are used to living with the BOX that gives you a break (when you need it most).
